Brie Crostini with Red Pepper Honey and Pomegranate

The holiday season can be full of surprises, and sometimes that means last-minute guests popping by for a quick visit. When that happens, you’ll need a delicious and easy appetizer to impress without much effort. These Brie Crostini with Red Pepper Honey and Pomegranate are the perfect solution. With only a few simple ingredients and minimal prep, you can whip up a festive and flavorful snack that even the in-laws will love.  

Ingredients:

  • 1 small baguette 
  • Vegetable oil spray
  • ½ cup honey
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • ¼ teaspoon sea salt
  • 8 ounces brie, sliced ¼-inch thick
  • ½ cup pomegranate seeds

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Slice the baguette into ¼-inch rounds. Lightly mist with vegetable oil spray, then spread the slices out on a sheet pan. Toast in the oven until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Prepare the pepper honey: In a small pan over low heat, combine the honey, red pepper flakes, and sea salt. Stir until warm and well combined.
  4. Assemble the crostini: Place a slice of brie on each toasted crostini. Drizzle generously with the black pepper honey, then top with pomegranate seeds.
