Happy 4th Birthday In Good Taste!

Happy 4th Birthday In Good Taste!

Cheers to four years of crafting memories and sharing joy

As we raise our glasses to toast our 4th birthday as "In Good Taste," let's take a stroll down memory lane. Four years of camaraderie, clinking glasses, and moments that have woven our mini-wine-loving community together.

Our aim has stayed consistent, to accompany you on your personal journey of discovering your flavor preferences by serving single serve wines from unique regions around the world.

It hasn’t been all roses; we've encountered our fair share of thorns along the way. But it's these challenges that have shaped us into who we are today. We're excited to share the full history with you—the triumphs, the trials, and everything in between. Here's to celebrating where we've been and a look forward to where we're headed!

A Toast to Transformation: 2020

Cast your mind back to 2020—a year etched in history by challenges and unexpected turns. There were actual zombie breakouts, right? Amidst the chaos of COVID-19, In Good Taste found itself at a crossroads. Previously known as "Taste It Wines," we relied solely on hotel retail placements, a strategy that seemed solid until the world came to a halt and travel stopped.

But rather than succumb to uncertainty, we made a swift pivot to e-commerce and introduced virtual tasting experiences featuring our beloved mini bottles to new audiences. It was a pivotal moment that led us to bring winemaking in-house and expand our portfolio by sourcing wines from all over the world.

Among our diverse offerings, the "California Wine Mixer" emerged as a fan favorite—a curated selection that celebrated the rich tapestry of California's wine regions, inviting participants to embark on a sensory journey through the Golden State's vineyards and varietals. From the sun-kissed hills of Napa Valley to the coastal breezes of Santa Barbara, each sip told a story of terroir and tradition.

2020 taught us the power of adaptation and the importance of staying true to our mission—to bring people together through the love and adventure of quality wine.

Expanding Horizons: 2021

In 2021, our virtual tastings blossomed into vibrant gatherings, drawing wine enthusiasts from every corner of the country into our ever-growing community. It was a year marked by expansion and exploration, where we unveiled tailored tasting kits designed to tantalize the senses and ignite the imagination.

Our commitment to diversity extended beyond our tasting kits and into our different wine labels. "Good Trouble," a nod to the indomitable spirit of John Lewis and his tireless pursuit of social justice, made its debut just one year after his passing. This collection of wines pays homage to the legacy of courage and activism, inviting drinkers to raise a glass in solidarity with the ongoing fight for equality and equity.

And who could forget the excitement of our first Advent Calendar? Its arrival nearly broke the internet, igniting a spark of joy and anticipation in the hearts of our community. With each door on the advent box opened, a new discovery awaited—a testament to the magic of the holiday season and the boundless possibilities that lay within each bottle. The only problem was our limited production of 1,000 units, swiftly snatched up, leaving countless loyal customers disappointed and empty-handed.

Elevating the Experience: 2022

2022 marked a new chapter in our journey towards elevating the wine experience. And this time, our aim was to produce enough for everyone, ensuring no one missed out on the experience. With a steadfast commitment to creativity, we redesigned the Advent Calendar into an unforgettable exploration of taste and delight.

At the heart of our reinvented Advent Experience were 24 meticulously crafted wine videos, each unveiling a new discovery and a moment of pure joy. From the vineyards of France to the valleys of Italy, our virtual journey took wine enthusiasts on a whirlwind tour of the world's most renowned wine regions, inviting them to savor the stories behind each bottle.

But it wasn't just about the wine; it was about the magic of discovery and the shared moments of anticipation. Our Advent Experience became a daily ritual—a celebration of community, curiosity, and the boundless possibilities that awaited behind each door.

The outpouring of positive customer reviews spoke volumes, with enthusiasts praising the depth of knowledge, the artistry of presentation, and the sheer delight of each surprise. It was a testament to the passion and dedication that went into curating this one-of-a-kind experience—a labor of love that resonated deeply with our community of wine lovers.

Milestones and Memories: 2023

2023 illuminated a landscape of new beginnings and cherished milestones for In Good Taste. We proudly opened the doors to our first Tasting Room. Nestled in the heart of Tiburon, our Tasting Room quickly became a beacon of warmth and hospitality, welcoming guests to immerse themselves in the world of wine.

Our mini bottles also found a new home on the shelves of Target's Texas market—a testament to our loyal mini wine community. With each mini bottle 4-pack that found its place among the vibrant wine aisles, we felt the warmth of our community's embrace, spreading joy and cheer with every pour.

As the year unfolded, the need to better serve our community of mini wine lovers became increasingly evident. With that, Club Mini was born—a space where we could deepen our connection with our customers while offering them exclusive benefits and experiences. It's been an absolute joy getting to know our members on a deeper level and sharing our passion for wine together.

2024 and Beyond

As we stand on the brink of our fifth year, we’ve now sold 5 million mini bottles and for that we wanted to extend a heartfelt thank you to our customers across the US! Your steadfast support has been the bedrock of our journey. We're prepared for one of the best years yet, with changes to the club and new wine releases right around the corner.

Cheers!
