Smoked Salmon Deviled Eggs

Elevate a classic appetizer with these Smoked Salmon Deviled Eggs. Creamy, tangy, and rich with the smoky flavor of salmon, they pair beautifully with a crisp, refreshing sparkling brut. The bubbly wine cuts through the richness of the eggs and complements the delicate smoked salmon for a sophisticated, bite-sized treat.

Ingredients: 

  • 6 large eggs
  • 3 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 oz smoked salmon, finely chopped
  • Fresh dill, for garnish
  • Capers, optional

Steps:

  1. Place eggs in a saucepan and cover with cold water. Bring to a boil, then cover, remove from heat, and let sit 10 minutes. Drain and cool eggs in ice water.
  2. Peel eggs and slice in half lengthwise. Remove yolks and place in a small bowl.
  3. Mash yolks with mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  4. Fold in half of the chopped smoked salmon.
  5. Spoon or pipe yolk mixture back into egg whites. Top with remaining smoked salmon, dill, and optional capers.
  6. Serve chilled alongside a glass of sparkling brut for a crisp, refreshing, and elegant pairing.

Yields  ~12 deviled eggs
