Lemon Matcha Panna Cotta

Elegant and lightly refreshing, this Lemon Matcha Panna Cotta is a sophisticated dessert that balances bright citrus with earthy matcha notes. The crisp, citrusy flavors and subtle buttery undertones of the Buena Vista Chardonnay Napa Valley 2022 enhance the delicate creaminess of the panna cotta, making it a perfect holiday indulgence.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 2 tsp matcha powder
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • 2 tsp unflavored gelatin powder
  • 3 tbsp cold water
  • Whipped cream and additional lemon zest, for garnish

Steps:

  1. In a small bowl, sprinkle gelatin over cold water and let bloom for 5 minutes.
  2. In a saucepan, combine cream, milk, sugar, matcha powder, and lemon zest. Heat over medium heat until just simmering, whisking to dissolve sugar and matcha.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in bloomed gelatin until fully dissolved.
  4. Pour mixture into 4 small ramekins or glasses. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until set.
  5. Serve chilled, topped with whipped cream and extra lemon zest, alongside a glass of Buena Vista Chardonnay.

Serves 4.
