This elegant twist on a Whiskey Sour adds a float of dry red wine for a depth of flavor.
1 oz Unprecedented Merlot
2 oz Rye whiskey
.5 oz Lemon juice
.5 oz Lime juice
.5 oz Simply syrup
Add all ingredients, except the Unprecedented Merlot, into a shaker with ice.
Shake vigorously for 30 seconds to blend and chill. Strain over fresh ice in a rocks glass
Slowly pour the Merlot over the back of a bar spoon so that it floats on top of the cocktail. Enjoy!
