Whipped Ricotta Avocado Toast with Citrus and Honey

Ingredients

  • 12oz Whole Milk Ricotta
  • Pinch of sea salt
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp orange juice
  • 1/2 tsp lemon zest
  • 1/2 tsp orange zest
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 2 avocados, pitted, skin removed, and thinly sliced
  • 2 oranges, skin removed, thinly sliced
  • Baguette or your favorite bread thinly sliced

Optional Garnish:

  • Poppy seeds
  • Black pepper

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Toast: Preheat the oven broiler to low. Arrange the sliced baguette on a large sheet pan and toast each side for 1-2 minutes until lightly golden.
  2. Make the Whipped Ricotta: In a food processor, combine the ricotta, sea salt, lemon juice, lemon zest, orange juice, orange zest, and honey. Blend until smooth, whipped, and fluffy.
  3. Assemble the Toasts: Spread 1-2 tablespoons of whipped ricotta onto each toast slice. Layer with 3-5 avocado slices and a slice of orange. Drizzle with honey for extra sweetness.
  4. Add the Finishing Touch: Sprinkle with flaky sea salt, black pepper, and poppy seeds for garnish.

Serve immediately for a fresh, colorful, and festive treat that will brighten any holiday gathering. Pair with "Day 13" wine for maximum enjoyment.
