I was surprised when my buddy contacted me around Thanksgiving and told me to be on the lookout for my Christmas present. I couldn't figure out why he'd be sending me something so early, but once I saw the size of the package and unboxed it, I was excited and pleasantly surprised! I LOVED that there were some varieties that I had never heard of, or tried before, but all 23 (I'm writing this the morning of 12/24) have been tasty and the entire experience has been fun. Well Done "In Good Taste"!
This is my first experience with "In Good Taste" advent calendar and it won't be my last. I had some questions before and customer service was great answering my questions. I ordered the all Red wine advent calendar. It arrived in the middle of November. It exceeded my expectations. Loved the bottles and surprised how much bigger than I expected. Each was a full glass of wine. I also really loved the daily email with a video describing the wine and doing the wine tasting. The wine itself was excellent. There was not one bottle I did not enjoy. In Good Taste offered full bottles for some of the wines and I was going to wait until the end for my order. Big mistake as they sell out fast. I was able to at least buy one. I am looking forward to my next Advent Calendar. I highly recommend In Good Taste.
Bought this for my wine loving sister! She was so excited to try each one. If you have a wine lover who is hard to buy for, this is the person gift.
I've tried the majority of the wines now, and for the most part they've all been good. One exception was a Rose infused with Jalapeno-not my thing. That was the only one I didn't drink so far.
It was a great sampler box! Varied tastes from all the different wines. Not redundant!
Cannot wait to order this next year. This has made the holiday season more enjoyable.

I love this mixed Advent calendar. 6 oz is enough to sip or share, and the wines are all good quality.

I absolutely love my wine advent calendar! Each day has been a pleasant surprise except the spicy rose. But I would definitely buy this next year.
I gave my wife the wine advent calendar she normallt drinks a California Chardonnay.. She loves this gift.. She says that she hasn't found a wine she hasn't enjoyed. I can voucher for that because she hasn't offered a single sip.. Lol. She has told her friends about your wine advent calendar.and they all loved the idea.. After being married for almost 45 years it was great finding a new fun gift she loves. Thank you . See you next year.
I (Sommelier in training) purchased this for my S/O (Sommelier I) as a gift. Out of all the wine advent calendar options, this one seemed to be the most personal in that it wasn't some nameless, faceless company throwing random wines together and calling it a collection.
It pays to open your dates a day in advance to chill whites and roses, and I'd recommend saving up a few days at a time to share and discuss. There's enough in each bottle for two full pours.
There were more misses than hits, sadly, and the day 1 wine had me very worried. I did like a few of the cabernets and a surprise winner of a really nice rose. The option to buy bottles of each is a nice feature, and I like that there's a daily summary online about each wine as well. I do wish there had been more information on the types of grapes in each, but that's probably more for my own educational interests than the masses.
While the wines were, overall, not always the best (I'm looking at you, jalapeño-infused rose), I'll admit probably the best part of this gift was that we found time to sit down for an hour or two and chat. It always ended up being about more than the wine, and that was lovely.
Worth it for the time it created.
Why not come up with some fun, useful ways to reuse the bottles…homemade vanilla, liquid potpourri, cordials, dimple syrups etc.
Purchased the wine advent calendar for my daughter and son-in-law. He happens to be a flair bartender from Vegas and they love everything. They’ve tried so far. Can’t thank you all enough for the terrific selections.

The wines are not as smooth and great They are all so dry but it’s good to try new wines.

It has been a very exciting and fun December, sharing the wines each day. My part has been trying to come up with meals to pair with the wine of the day. It has been great fun sharing the wines each day, talking about it and just experiencing wines that we have never had before. I hope we can do it again next year.
For as pricey as this box is, I was expecting to be WOWED. However, so far, nothing has been exceptional. While most have been good, some have been terrible (a jalapeño rose?! WHY??) and none have been super special.
Got one for my wife, mother, and mother n law…. It is a hit. They love it
