Stealing Thunder Pinot Noir

Pinot Noir is the most seductive grape in the world, and it knows it. This one opens with a hush, a quiet bouquet of red cherry, pomegranate, and dried rose petal, layered and lovely. The palate is silky and medium-bodied, with that gossamer texture that only Pinot can produce. Subtle earthy notes run underneath like a current: forest floor, a hint of mushroom, a breath of damp autumn leaves. The tannins are fine and barely-there.

The finish is soft and long. It's a wine that asks for nothing and gives everything.

Your Favorite Wood-Fired Pizza

Blistered, chewy crust topped with bright tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella, and your favorite toppings straight from the wood fire — pizza at its elemental best. Stealing Thunder's Pinot Noir brings silky red fruit, earthy depth, and gentle tannins that complement the char and richness without overpowering.

Ingredients

  • Pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • Tomato sauce
  • Fresh mozzarella, torn
  • Toppings of your choice (basil, prosciutto, mushrooms, peppers, olives — go wild)
  • Olive oil
  • Flaky salt
  • Fresh basil for finishing

Steps

  1. Preheat your wood-fired oven (or home oven at max temperature with a pizza stone) until very hot.
  2. Stretch dough out by hand into your desired shape.
  3. Spread a thin layer of tomato sauce, leaving a border for the crust.
  4. Add mozzarella and your chosen toppings.
  5. Drizzle with olive oil and slide onto the hot stone or oven floor.
  6. Cook 2–5 minutes (wood-fired) or 8–12 minutes (home oven) until crust is blistered and cheese is bubbling. Finish with fresh basil and flaky salt.
